Uniting the work of Moore and O'Keeffe for the first time, this exhibition features over 100 paintings and sculptures as well as re-creations of both artists' studios with their vast collections of found objects, alongside tools and furnishings. Visitors are able to explore the artists' working practices and the inspiration each took from the animal skulls and bones, gnarled tree roots and twisted driftwood, internal coils of seashells, interlocking pebbles and hollowed stones with which they surrounded themselves. Parallels are drawn between these two artists in their pioneering approaches to Modernism through their use of natural forms, and their enduring associations with the landscapes that were essential to their work.
