This exhibition of tapestries and drawings has been organised by the Figge Art Museum and Mary Moore. On display for the first time in the United States are a series of Moore’s tapestries, representing a relatively unknown area of the artist’s work. The Henry Moore Foundation is pleased to be able to loan seven drawings from which the tapestries were produced by the weavers at West Dean College in the late 1970s.

Exhibition Info: A World of Marble will examine how marble as a tradition-bound material is understood and interpreted through modern and contemporary art. The exhibition forms part of the celebration of the 50-year anniversary of the Kunsten Museum of Modern Art’s iconic marble building designed by world-famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto.
