More InformationThree Forms Vertebrae, 1978-1979 bronze is now covered in graffiti and being used as a urinal. Passers-by had no idea who sculpted the work I don't want to get near it...it smells too bad...I don't know any Henry Moore..." The work has been restored twice in the past but officials were at a loss to see what should be done to stop the desecration.
The 18 Sept 1992 issue of Dallas Morning News carried a cartoon by Bill DeOre depicting the sculpture and a public toilet an Editorial calling for action to stop the vandalism and a text by Mark McDonald pointing out that the Moore bronze is not the only piece of public art in Dallas that is in a state of disrepair.
