More InformationReport of an inquiry into the placing of Circular Altar, 1972 Roman travertine marble by Henry Moore beneath the dome of St. Stephen Walbrook. Commissioned by Peter Palumbo, the property developer, who is a church warden of St. Stephen's. Peter Boydell Q.C. told the enquiry it would bring together masterpieces by London's greatest architect and one of the world's greatest sculptors. The Georgian Group has said the work would block the view of the original altar and disrupt the seating pattern. The hearing continues.
