Description: Review of Meridian House tapestry exhibition (See 0001057), and prints at Brody Gallery (See 0001396). Of the tapestries: these casual atmospheric sketches were obviously right for a 20th-century English version of the art. Their soft tones match the soft rough texture of the wool and their spontaneous character inspired the weavers to concentrate on color and texture rather than on literal translation".
