Description: Dissertation produced in conjunction with the School of Art, Media and American Studies at the University of East Anglia, Norwich. Focuses exclusively on the ten tapestries on display in the Aisled Barn, produced in collaboration with West Dean College, Sussex. Looks at the creation of these tapestries with Edward Said's theory of 'late life style' in mind. Joan Baxter and Pat Taylor, former weavers from West Dean College who worked on many of the tapestries in question, were also interviewed for this project.
