Writing about Falling Warrior, 1956-1957 bronze Willy Rotzler describes it as Walter Bechtler's first choice to donate to the public. The Zollikon local authority hesitated in accepting the gift until the excuse was found of describing it as a memorial to Finnish pilots shot down nearby during the war. Because the press concentrated on this Swiss/Finnish alliance the notion became established that it was a special commission for this purpose.

The Sculptor's Aims (See 0009258); Notes on Sculpture (See 0009196); Primitive Art (See 0009071).
Catalogue is very similar to 0006879 and 0006880. Wood's two-page foreword mentions Moore's affinity to Primitive art, the influence of stone, Moore's mining heritage and the love of the earth. Likens Moore to Rilke, seeking space and freedom yet firmly rooted in the earth and its weight. Describes some individual works, emphasizing their variety and Moore's positive approach to his work.
