Description: Book celebrating Sir Robert and Lady Sainsbury's unique vision, from collecting art from 1929, to setting up the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts in the 1970s. 9, 98-99 passing reference to Moore in relation to the Norman Foster designed gallery. Bob Sainsbury met Moore in 1932 at a party on the eve of Moore's second Leicester Galleries exhibition. On the opening day Sainsbury bought Mother and Child 1932 green Horton stone (LH 121), illus. 102 reference to and illus of Shelter Sleepers 1940 (HMF 1738).
