Red cloth-covered notebook 260 x 185mm originally containing 80 pages of off-white medium-weight wove paper 254 x 176mm in ten signatures of eight plus front and rear endpapers. The cover bears a label of masking tape inscribed in ballpoint pen RECLINING FIGS; chinagraph 1976. The inside front cover is inscribed in pencil upper centre Page 4, given to Miro/“Two Reclining Figures” on 85th Birthday/Through Roland Penrose. The pages are numbered (not by the artist) upper left on the recto starting at the front endpaper; this and the first fifteen pages were drawn on and removed.
