Disbanded sketchbook of cream medium-weight wove paper 178 x 254 mm to which sixteen drawings have been ascribed. The pages are unnumbered and were signed and dated after the sketchbook was broken up. Although this notebook is recorded under 1943, it is very likely that Moore continued to draw in it for a considerable time and that pages from 1946 (see HMF 2368) and others designated to the Rocking Chair Notebook 1947-48 (see HMF 2390) also came from this source. For example, the textile design on the recto of HMF 2395 has studies for rocking chairs on its verso, including HMF 2126b in Volume 7
