Disbanded notebook with mottled black and buff paper-covered boards quarter-bound in black cloth 200 x 158 mm. Inside the front cover is an inscription in pen and ink Henry Moore/Hoglands/Perry Green/Much Hadham/Herts; pencil 1942?.

The book originally contained 60 pages of off-white lightweight wove paper 200 x 158 mm in one signature each of twenty-two, twenty and eighteen, of which some pages are watermarked J GREEN & SON. The pages are perforated 10 mm from the spine. The first seven pages have been removed at the perforations. The first six of these were inscribed above the perforations, the seventh was not. From these inscriptions it has been possible to identify five of the pages; pages 1 and 7 are missing.
