Blue-card covered sketchbook in one signature, possibly of 14 or 16 pages, of cream medium-weight wove paper 222 x 288 mm. The cover has the words DRAWING BOOK/Name and an image of a castle entrance printed in blue on the front. Four drawings HMF 1269 - 1271a have been ascribed to the sketchbook, which still contains seven pages of a draft of 'The Sculptor Speaks', an essay published in The Listener, 18 August 1937, pp338 - 40
