Published in a series of five volumes between August 1973 and December 1974: Volume 1 contains an introduction to the series by Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler, the Parisian publisher and art dealer who represented Picasso from 1907 until the artist's death, and ten prints; Volume 2 contains twelve prints; Volume 3, eleven prints; Volume 4 contains CGM 282 and ten prints, one each by Max Bill, Jim Dine, Allen Jones, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Motherwell, Edouard Pignon, Emil Schumacher, Hervé Télémaque, Joe Tilson and Walasse Ting; Volume 5 contains fourteen prints. A sixth volume containing eleven prints by American artists was added in December 1975.
Volume 4
620 x 820mm: 4 unnumbered pages in 2 sheets of plastic-coated paper with CGM 282 on T.H. Saunders and nine other prints on various papers, each in a leaf of plastic-coated paper within a red cloth-covered portfolio printed in black on the front, with a red cloth-covered tube containing the prints by Allen Jones and Joe Tilson. A metal plaque with the album number and the names of the artists is glued to the spine. There is a black leather protective cover. All five volumes are contained in a wooden box with the title and publisher's name on the top.
