Published as a book in deluxe and standard editions containing an introduction in English by Geoffrey Grigson and enlarged reproductions in colour and black and white from the Heads, Figures and Ideas sketchbooks. The deluxe edition contains the lithograph CGM 41, and the first twenty-seven copies each contain an original drawing.

470 x 328mm: 64 unnumbered pages of Grosvenor Chater's Chariot offset cartridge in eight signatures of 8 with endpapers designed by the artist. The deluxe edition contains CGM 41 tipped on to p.[1]. In the first twenty-seven copies a single sheet of grey Ingres paper with a drawing attached is mounted between the endpapers and p.[1]. The first four copies have other drawings mounted throughout the book; these copies are bound in red morocco with the title blocked in blue-grey on the front and the publication date on the spine. The next twenty-three copies are bound in beige morocco with the title blocked in red on the front and the artist's signature and publication date on the spine. The remainder of the deluxe edition is bound in half morocco. All copies of the deluxe edition are contained in slipcases.

The standard edition is bound in printed blue-grey paper-covered boards, bearing the title, artist's signature and a reproduction of a drawing in white on the front, with a beige linen spine bearing the title and artist's signature blocked in gold, within in a paper dust jacket printed similarly with the title and artist's signature also printed on the spine.
