Moore dedicated this drawing on 30 July 1975 as a birthday gift for the publisher, Gottfried (Goffy) Fischer. The drawing is closely related to HMF 80(259) and the related lithograph CGM 621. This and the following five drawings may be from the same unidentified sketchbook. The presence of staple holes at upper and lower left on this drawing and on HMF 937, 939 and 940 indicate that these sheets once formed part of a notebook, possibly with HMF 938 and 940a.
