The drawings and inscriptions on this sheet are done with a pen which has a very fine nib and are imbued with the same nervous energy as those in HMF 1342 and 1343. Two quick sketches on this sheet are related to two on HMF 1342; others have more tenuous links but are definitely similar. The subjects of the inscriptions are also closely linked. The signatures and dates on HMF 1342 and 1343 were also added several years after the drawings were finished. The problem of assigning the three foregoing drawings to either 1937 or 1939 (for they are certainly of the same year) is complicated by two other drawings, HMF 1470 and 1471 (q.v.)
