More InformationNotebook No.3 p.87. Starting from a relatively straightforward representation, Moore gradually developed his sketch into an abstraction of the original. He returned briefly to this way of working in 1935 and 1936. The words in Corsehill on the verso refer to an English stone in which Moore made three carvings in the early 1930s - LH 90, 138 and 155.
