Wilkinson observes that this drawing includes three cut-outs which may have been culled from notebooks. This is quite possible: see HMF 971 and other drawings of the same period. The verso bears a smaller version of a figure - indicated by an asterisk - in HMF 924, visible when the page is turned 90 degrees to the right.
