More InformationThe drawing is on writing paper printed Christofle, Paris on the verso. Moore first met E.C. (Peter) Gregory, a fellow Yorkshireman, in 1923. A collector and patron of the arts, Gregory was chairman of the publishers Lund Humphries; he played a part in the founding of the Institute of Contemporary Arts and set up the Gregory Fellowships at Leeds University. He became a lifelong friend of the Moores.
