More InformationPublished in a standard edition and a slightly larger limited edition of 850 copies on hand-made paper. Text of the radio melodrama, which, with an orchestral score by Benjamin Britten, was broadcast by the B.B.C. in November 1943. The original script is here presented with all the music cues; but it is outside the scope of this book to print a single bar of the score. Instead the visual art of the illustrator has most fortunately been made available for this edition; and it is of especial note that this is the first occasion on which the designs of Mr Henry Moore have appeared as direct illustrations to a text.
