More InformationThe frontispiece and a drawing on page 76 show Recumbent Figure, 1938 green Hornton stone on the garden terrace of Serge Chermayeff's house, Bentley Wood. Christopher Tunnard was the landscape architect for the development. (The sculpture was installed in September 1938 and the book printed in December 1938. The volume is cited in landscape literature as a standard work. A second edition was published in 1948).
