Description: With collaboration with Stephen Gabriel. Paper which mathematically substanciates the proposition that there are an above average number of Henry Moore works with questionable" provenance for sale on the auction website. Dr. Hikawa downloaded informatin on virtually all of Moore's art offered on eBay from March 2005 to November 2007 he then obtained independent evaluations from Gabriel and Gaswirth. Equations to prove the autheniticty of the works are included. An average figure of 87.6% of sculpture and drawings were found to be "questionable" compared to the general average of 20-40% of works available in the general "modern art" market."

Band, former president of The Art Gallery of Toronto. Accompanying text includes two letters from Margaret MCLEOD to Charles BAND arranging the acquisition of LH 426. States the cast was originally intended for Irina Moore's collection. A photograph showing the lot with approx. eight other maquettes is also included in the sale, along with the letters. Additional biographical text, page 40, states that Band visited Moore at Perry Green.
