Description: Atom Piece (Working Model for Nuclear Energy), 1964-1965 bronze, in display at the Hiroshima Museum of Modern Art, became the focus for a row at a meeting of the Hiroshima City Council on 5 March 1991. It was claimed as unsuitable for display in Hiroshima, and the mayor announced that he would consider what steps to take. It was purchased in 1987 for about 58 million yen, and was a smaller version of the bronze in Chicago.
