Description: Wakefield Council are to go ahead with plans to license, lease or sell Bretton Country Park to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park to create an exhibition space for works by Henry Moore. The Council's leasure services committee agreed to the transfer in the face of opposition from the Countryside Commission. The Council has been forced into transferring ownership otherwise the Yorkshire Sculpture Park would have lost support for the project from the Henry Moore Foundation which is backing the sale.
