Description: Photograph and note on recovery of Seated Figure, 1929 cast concrete from left luggage locker at Liverpool Street Station by Drugs Squad officers after a tip off. The work was stolen from the Mayor Gallery in 1984. Value £200,000. A.P. news note mostly without photograph appeared in about 50 newspapers throughout the world on 3 October 1986, a further 70 on 4 October 1986 and 40 more over the next few days.
