Description: The possibility of Henry Moore's Harlow Family Group, 1954-1955 Hadene stone being sited in new town hall. Also in 13 May 1999 Epping Star which has a letter from Angela Godfey headed 'Work of art calls for grand display'. This is in response to 15 April 1999 letter (See 0018837) and suggests the commissioning of a brilliant piece of architecture to house the sculpture.

Description: The Harlow Arts Trust have ruled out the imminenet return to the town of Harlow Family Group, 1954-1955 Hadene stone. They are trying to raise money for a special shelter to protect the carving which was removed from public display in 1988 after a number of attacks by vandals. In the meantime the Henry Moore Foundation will use the repaired sculpture for exhibitions.
