Description: Review of Art Gallery of New South Wales exhibition (See 0014949) discussing Moore's sculptural form based around a hole, and his retreat from the classical figure. Large and recumbent his figures seem to merge with the earth. The holes allow the elements to pass through them and often look as though they had been hollowed out by millenia of wind erosion". Mentions the war drawings. Concludes that Moore "did rather too much work".
