Iida relates influence of Moore on his work, from the time that he saw a photograph of Falling Warrior, 1956-1957 bronze. The chapter entitled A Chance Encounter with Moore describes a visit to a Moore exhibition in Vienna (probably 0006666). This resolved his creative block and was the starting point for the rest of his artistic life. The expression of universal values Iida saw in Moore's work inspired his future path.

Enemy action prevented Britten from conducting the choir at the St. Matthew's Church unveiling. Moore later met Britten and Peter Pears and bronzes were loaned for display at Aldeburgh.
The score for the broadcast of The Rescue (See 0008810) was by Benjamin Britten.
