Twenty extant pages of cream lightweight wove paper 180 x 105mm, ring-bound at the top within beige lightweight card covers. The cover is inscribed in pencil by the artist upper centre on the front Montrouge Place/Lady & the Tramp/Avenue de General (sic) Leclerc and lower centre upside-down Galerie de France/Faubourg St Honore (sic) /Talcoat – Maeght/13 Rue de Teheran/Carré – Villin; the back cover bears an indistinct list of Paris addresses and times of appointments. The inside back cover is stamped with a maker's mark of a butterfly within a circular shield bearing the initials RS, FABRICATION FRANÇAISE, PARIS. The pages are unsigned and unnumbered; page [11] is drawn on by the artist's daughter, page [14] is blank and some pages were reworked by the artist c.1956.
