The drawing lower right of the reclining figure was the basis for a maquette LH 185 of 1938 which was later enlarged as the elmwood Reclining Figure 1939 (LH 210). The third sketch from left at the top was the inspiration for three later drawings, HMF 2519-2521 of 1949, which were the basis for the lithograph CGM 7. The caged figure centre right seems to have been considered by Moore as a subject for the Spanish Prisoner, see comment on HMF 1464. See also comment on HMF 1337.
