It is possible that the recto, which seems more at ease with works done later than 1941, was drawn on the back of an existing Shelter drawing.  The standing figure, for example may be compared with that in HMF 2376, whilst the use of white wax crayon in sectional lines to create volume appears in HMF 2169. The sketch on the verso is based on HMF 1651.
