This drawing is related to two earlier sculptures, Reclining Figure 1929 (LH 71) and Reclining Figure 1930 (LH 84). Moore suggested to Wilkinson that a date c.1930 might be correct for HMF 998, but in view of its similarity to HMF 999 it has been retained here pending further study of all the montages assembled by Irina Moore.
