Edna Ginesi was a fellow student of Moore and his friend Raymond Coxon at Leeds School of Art. All three continued their studies at The Royal College of Art in London from October 1921. The following year Raymond and Gin, as she preferred to be called, became engaged. When they married in 1926, Moore gave them a sculpture (LH 6) as a wedding present. The Coxons remained friends with Henry and Irina Moore throughout their lives, visiting Moore not long before his death in 1986.
