This is a study of the back view of LH 751, executed in 1978. Intrigued by the pose of this figure, Moore modelled it in plaster, drew it and etched it. He changed the title of the sculpture from Reclining Figure: Distorted to Reclining Figure: No.7, preferring to omit any reference to distortion.
