These drawings are based on a photograph of HMF 2943 which Moore drew over in pen and ink, altering them slightly in the process. The photographic image was then bleached out, leaving the pen and ink lines. They were used in reproduction for the cover of the portfolio Meditations on the Effigy CGM 66-79.
