"Lost" sculptures

Henry Moore’s works are documented in great detail in a series of catalogues raisonnés which span his output in sculpture, drawings, graphics, tapestries and textiles. There are, however, a small number of sculptures about which very little is known. These works were executed very early in Moore’s career and were either sold, lost or possibly destroyed before the artist was able to photograph or document them in any detail. Some are known only from letters or exhibition catalogues. The catalogue entries which follow detail the extent of the information we hold. Henry Moore Foundation welcomes new information regarding any of these works or their whereabouts.
