More InformationAutobiography by Japanese sculptor. Includes a chapter on Henry Moore, and other references throughout the book. Iida relates influence of Moore on his work, from the time that he saw a photograph of Falling Warrior, 1956-1957 bronze. The chapter entitled A Chance Encounter with Moore describes a visit to a Moore exhibition in Vienna (probably 0006666). This resolved his creative block and was the starting point for the rest of his artistic life. The expression of universal values Iida saw in Moore's work inspired his future path.
